LOCAL  FACILITIES  AND  PLACES  OF  INTEREST

Walks

There are a couple of short walks from the hotel which are ideal for working up an appetite: Any member of staff will be able to advise you of walks close by and we have several ordinance survey maps that we can lend out.

1. Down to Scott’s Quay on Polwheveral Creek

2. A circular walk to Constantine village.

Ask any of us for directions.  Each walk takes about 50 minutes.

Many of the parishes’ public footpaths have been reopened and tidied up and are now very well sign-posted.  OS maps are available from Constantine Stores.

Golf

There are three good golf courses within easy reach of Trengilly Wartha and we can try to book you in to any of these (subject to availability).

  1. Budock Vean, between Port Navas and Mawnan Smith.  A 9 hole course attached to a hotel and sports complex.
  2. Mullion, on the coast between Helston and Mullion Cove. An 18 hole course set on a sandy ridge overlooking Poldhu and Gunwalloe beaches.  Some of the holes are quite steep; few are easy!
  3. Falmouth, on the coast between Maenporth and Swanpool beaches.

A cross between the above two, benefiting from both coastal influences and the presence of trees on a pretty 18 hole course.

Green fees on all three vary with the season.

Local Gardens.

There are numerous gardens that you can visit.

Trebah.  A sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop. One of the Great Gardens of Cornwall and rated among the 80 finest gardens in the world.
